Hollings Youth Association CIC (HYA) was established in March 2009 as a voluntary organisation and became a Community Interest Company (CIC) in June 2019. Based in Manningham, Bradford, we work alongside young people from racially minoritised and economically disadvantaged communities to support their personal, social, and civic development.
HYA supports young people to move from dependence to independence by building confidence, leadership, and collective voice. We work with young people to identify issues affecting their lives and communities, develop shared understanding, and take positive action to influence change. Our work promotes equality, mutual respect, and opportunity, and aims to strengthen young people’s sense of belonging, agency, and influence within their communities.
With deep roots in the local area and long-standing relationships, HYA is committed to supporting young people to shape the future of Manningham through youth-led and community-focused approaches.
Youth Organising at HYA
At Hollings Youth Association, we support young people to organise collectively around issues that affect their lives and neighbourhoods. Young people identify priorities, develop shared analysis, and take collective action on issues such as community safety, drug harm, access to public and green spaces, stigma, and inequality. Our work is rooted in an intergenerational organising approach: young people lead decision-making and action, supported by experienced youth workers who provide safeguarding, facilitation, and access to local decision-makers.

15 YEARS
This year, we proudly celebrated our 15th anniversary! It was a truly special milestone, marking years of building bonds, uplifting young lives, and enriching our community. Our journey has been filled with inspiring stories, impactful programs, and memories that we all cherish.
We are deeply grateful to our members, volunteers, and community partners whose unwavering support made this celebration and every step of our journey possible. From joyful events to heartfelt moments of reflection, our anniversary was a beautiful reminder of what we can achieve together.
